It was a rough last couple weeks but I made my weight for the Walrus weigh-in. Woohoo. (yeah it really is Woohoo worthy)
For those of you who are not familiar with the Walrus it is a weight loss competition that was started several years ago by some people in the company I work for. The idea is that you have 1 year to loose 10% or 15% of your body weight. The loosers pay $1000 or $1500 into a pot and the winners split the pot. Anybody who makes their weight the first year can optionally maintain for the next year.
This was my second year in Walrus. I started at a 233 and made it down to 198 the first year and have been maintaining ever since. It is a nice feeling to know that every year I will have a net weight gain of at most 0. Not many people (and by people I mean Americans) can say that.
I need to find some good before after photos to post.
This next year I am going to focus more on weights and strength training than just straight cardio. Now that I am slimmer I would also like to be a bit stronger.
The challenge now is to make it through the holidays :-)

First Post
I have entered the blogosphere....I guess it had to happen someday so why not today? I will tell you why it shouldn't have been today because I have absolutely nothing interesting to say. I will leave you with a joke so you don't feel ripped off for having read this:
Q: Where did Napoleon put his army's?
A: In his sleeve-ees of course.
(it is better in person I promise you)
Maybe I will have something interesting to say next time...let's hope so.
